Körber honored with Sustainable Partner 2023 Badge by long-time partner UCB

The partnership between UCB and Körber has been marked by a shared dedication to creating sustainable folding cartons for pharmaceutical products. Over the years, this collaboration has resulted in several accolades, including for example the Pro Carton ECMA Gold Award 2020 (flexible cardboard packaging for clinical vials) and Pharmapack Award 2021 (Ecodesign for Cimzia®) awards, underscoring their joint pursuit of excellence in packaging solutions.

Key pharmaceutical medicines benefiting from Körber's sustainable folding cartons include Cimzia® (Certolizumab Pegol) and Briviact® (Brivaracetam). The emphasis on eco-friendly and recyclable packaging aligns with both companies' global commitment to sustainability, a driving force in their corporate ethos.

UCB recognizes the crucial link between human health and the health of the planet. In line with this commitment, UCB has launched the Supplier Recognition Program, inviting partners to join in the pursuit of ambitious greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions reduction targets and environmental responsibility.

As a result of Körber's contributions to sustainability, UCB was delighted to award Körber the Sustainable Partner 2023 badge. This recognition comes with stringent criteria, including a deep commitment to GHG emissions reduction across all three scopes and a high score on the EcoVadis assessment (72/100 gold certificate).
